This position is responsible for performing a variety of general maintenance work.
Responsibilities
•Performs manual labor and heavy lifting under all weather conditions.
•Assists full time employees in various maintenance and repair tasks (may include, but not limited to: mowing, clipping, trimming, planting, cleaning, painting, operating equipment, hauling brush, street patching, shoveling, filling, miscellaneous errands) in the Public Works department.
•Operates various motorized and non-motorized equipment.
•Drives City vehicle to various job sites.

Performs related work as required.
Qualifications
Be at least 17 years of age. Valid Minnesota Driver’s License – with good driving history. Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Valid MN driver’s license. Some knowledge of the tools, materials and equipment used in general maintenance work. Some knowledge of safety precautions. Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to effectively meet and deal with the public. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to handle stressful situations.
