Position Overview:

ARMHS Practitioners provide support to our clients living in the community within the guidelines of each recipient’s Individual Treatment Plan. They are required to collaborate and actively listen to support each person that is being served, and follow-up by appropriately documenting visits and objectively record progress and progression towards the recipient’s desired treatment goals in areas of communication skills, community living, interpersonal skills, crisis intervention, skill development, and healthy living habits. You will report to the program manager, and have no direct reports. Above your Program Manager is a Director, and then the CEO.

Role Responsibilities: Managing your own schedule, lots of flexibility Meeting 1:1 with your clients within Dakota County Documenting their progression Assisting clients in the development of their personal skills, in accordance with their personal goals Work with a range of severe mental illness (SMI) diagnosis, including Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Schizophrenia, PTSD, and others

Qualifications

​ There is a range of educational and experience requirements set by the state of Minnesota, as well as company specific requirements: Meet State requirements of Role in one of the following ways: o Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral science or related field from an appropriately accredited college or university; AND 2000 hours of supervised experience in the deliver of mental health services OR is fluent in a non-English language of a cultural group to which at least 50% of the practitioners’ recipients belong. o Is a graduate student in one of the mental health professional disciplines and their accredited college or university formally assigns the student to RTI for clinical training. o Holds a master’s or another graduate degree in one of the mental health professional disciplines from an accredited college or university. o Is as tribally certified mental health practitioner who is serving a federally recognized Indian tribe. o Is a certified Mental Health Professional, with appropriate licensure. o Has completed 4000 supervised hours of work providing services to those with an SMI. o Is a state certified Peer Specialist, Level 2. Ability to pass a Department of Human Services background check. Ability to pass the BCA Criminal Background Check and the Sexual Exploitation of Patients by Psychotherapist screen required by DHS. Ability to pass screening required by Federal Human Services office of the Inspector General Ability to organize and work independently. Willingness to travel within the Metro Area, for applicable mileage reimbursements, with a current driver’s license, clean record, and personal vehicle with insurance. Posses a person-centered approach, consistent with the Philosophical approach of the individual program and RTI Ability to work with culturally diverse populations. Other, as needed, as company and role grows or evolves.
